picture is from 20 years ago of the owners when Esmeralda was in 4th grade in old family restaurant that was featured in Paso Robles Magazine January 2006

1889 is a family owned restaurant. Hector has helped open other family restaurants in the beginning of his career and had his owned a restaurant previously in Paso Robles. Due to unforeseen circumstances the restaurant closed in 2022.  After three years Hector and his daughter Esmeralda Jimenez took over this restaurant location in Santa Margarita and named it 1889 which stands for the year the town was established as tribute to the town and its amazing welcoming community! Hector and Esmeralda work full time at the restaurant and really work hard to keep making improvements and be a great restaurant for locals and tourists visiting the cute small town. Sundays mornings are extra special for them because they enjoy working together with the rest of the family! Hector's Wife Patricia helps out both the front and back of the house. Tony, their middle son works as a server  for the busy Sunday crowd aside from his other full time job and really enjoys chatting it up and providing great service. Hector Jr has his full-time job as well during the week in the wine industry and works Sundays in the kitchen at 1889, he really picked up a passion for cooking for fun just like his dad!
